Decommissioning

Consub has experience in the following areas of subsea infrastructure decommissioning:

  • Hydrocarbon cleaning of pipelines.
  • Cutting and removal of riser base spools.
  • Burial of pipeline ends and any remaining spans and exposures.
  • Cutting and removal of subsea umbilicals.
  • Debris clearance at platform locations and along pipeline corridor.
  • Associated surveys.
  • Handover of decommissioned pipelines to the Asset management.
  • Associated permitting and approvals (3rd party and authorities)

We perform the following:

  • Development of philosophy documents, specifications and procedures
  • Management and site supervision of de-commissioning contractors to ensure timely preparation for operations, and provide general technical input to the work.
  • Assist the client in procurement of temporary equipment for the work.
  • Participate in HAZIDS/HAZOPS
  • Preparation and submission permits and approvals (3rd party and authorities)
  • Liaison with authorities and third parties organisations.

We have performed subsea infrastructure decommissioning work for:

  • Shell/Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij  (NAM): INDE Decommissioning Project

Our key personnel have performed subsea infrastructure decommissioning work for:

  • BHP: Liverpool Bay Project
